Domestic Disturbance – A caller started to report some kind of disturbance, and was then disconnected. Officers responded and discovered a woman had shown up at the residence where her estranged boyfriend was staying. He had asked her to leave several times, and was phoning police to request assistance when she walked out the door and pulled the phone cord out of the wall. Officers determined no crime had occurred. |

MVA Injury – Officers responded to a rollover accident on Captain’s Bay Road. En route, an officer saw four people who appeared to be fleeing the area in the bed of another vehicle. One of them, Blaine Shaishnikoff, was identified as the driver. Another person sustained minor injuries, and two other passengers were uninjured in the accident. Shaishnikoff, 18 yoa, of Unalaska, had been drinking alcohol prior to the accident and was arrested for Driving under the Influence, Assault III, and two counts Reckless Endangerment. |

MVA Injury – UDPS received a report that a taxi driver had struck a cyclist approximately one hour earlier. The victim claimed to have been injured in the incident. Investigation revealed the taxi driver had backed into a bicycle and had damaged the rear wheel. Witnesses stated the cyclist was not on the bike at the time, and the intoxicated victim provided rather inconsistent statements about the accident. The taxi driver was issued a citation for Limitations on Backing. |

Leah Brooks, 21 yoa, of Unalaska, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and, later, after she attempted to head-butt the arresting officer, for Resisting Arrest. |
