How do I obtain a library card?
Library card applications are available at the library’s front desk. Cards are for permanent Cooper Landing residents are free. Applicants must provide proof of residency in order to obtain a permanent card.
Children first grade and up must have a parent present or a parent’s permission to obtain a card. Young people age 17 and older may obtain a card provided they have identification.
Temporary Cards are offered for the calendar year (Jan.-Dec.) or on a monthly basis. Rates are as follows:
Individual Card- $15 a year
Family Card (Couple with or without children)- $20 a year
Monthly Card- $5 a year
How many items may I check out?
Permanent card holders may check out up to five books or books on tape for a two week period. They may be renewed for an extended two weeks provided that the item is not on reserve. Only two videos may be checked out at a time for a period of one week. They may not be renewed. Temporary card holders may check out two items at a time.
How much are library fines?
Cooper Landing Library does not have fixed fines for overdue materials. We ask that our patrons pay fines on the honor system. A large white pig “piggy” bank is at the front desk of the library for all fees. The pig also accepts donations as well!
What services are provided by the library?
The Cooper Landing Library provides book, books on tape, video and DVD checkout, it also has periodicals available as well as copier, fax, laminating services, internet access and interlibrary loan options.
