Iliamna Air Taxi, a family owned and operated charter and scheduled air carrier has operated in Alaska since 1977. Charter service is available statewide although we primarily serve the Lake Iliamna, Lake Clark and Bristol Bay areas. We utilize single engine land and sea, as will as multi engine aircraft. Our fleet consists of the following:
We serve five villages with scheduled mail, freight, and passenger service to: Nondalton Port Alsworth Pedro Bay Kokhanok Pope Vanoy Landing Charter service is available for everything from transporting backpackers to moving dog teams! We fly local residents from village to village, student athletes to other schools for competitions, also well as hunters, fisherman, and river-rafters to their vacation destinations. Our aircraft are all very well maintained and our DHC-2 Beavers are equipped with Baron Stol kits for additional safety. We use float equipped Beavers mostly for transportation of caribou and moose hunters as well as fishing partners. Our area is world renowned for it's trophy fishing and hunting. We boast five species of Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Dolly Vardon, White Fish, Grayling and Northern Pike. Game animals consist of moose, caribou, black and brown bears. We transport trappers during the winter months to remote camps to harvest wolves, wolverines, beavers, lynx, foxes, muskrats, and martins. Many of the rivers in our area are excellent for raft trips for hunting and fishing vacations. Sightseeing, backpacking, and wilderness adventures are ways to enjoy this area of our beautiful state. Northern Air Cargo (NAC) delivers to Iliamna every day in the summer, except Sunday and Monday. In the winter, it arrives every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM. For more Information about Northern Air Cargo call: 1-800-478-3330 Iliamna Air Taxi ground handles both Era Aviation and Northern Air Cargo. Era Aviation provides scheduled air service to Iliamna every day in the summer. In the winter, flights arrive on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, departing from Anchorage at 11:00 AM, arriving in Iliamna at 12:00 PM. Turn around flights depart at 12:30 PM, and arrive in Anchorage at 1:30 PM. During July, August, and September Era usually runs two flights a day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
