MVA Damage – A woman driving a van backed out of a parking space and into the side of a flatbed truck which was passing by on the roadway.  No injuries were reported.  The driver of the van was cited for failure to carry mandatory vehicle insurance and for limitations on backing.

Domestic Disturbance – Sheila L. Reed, 33 yoa, was arrested on one count of Assault IV-DV after officers responded to the apartment she shares with her husband regarding a fight in progress.  Officers determined that a rather pitched altercation had occurred, initiated by Reed and culminating in her breaking a water glass on her husband’s head.

Assistance Rendered – Caller reported a disoriented, intoxicated man wandering about at the City Dock.  Officers found a habitual sleepwalker who had woken up in a wet WWII bunker and had walked towards the lights at the City Dock upon awakening.  Officers escorted the man, who had arrived in town only a few hours earlier, back to his employer.

Harassment – A woman requested police assistance advising her brother and sister-in-law, a couple with whom she had been feuding for quite some time and who had just today cornered and castigated her, to cease all contact with her and her family.  An officer spent the next several hours explaining to multiple family members who they could and could not contact and what legal actions might result if they violated these conditions.

Suspicious Person/Activity – Officer contacted three youths who were carrying plastic fuel cans from one vehicle to another in a lot full of disabled vehicles.  One of the young men stated he had just bought one of the disabled vehicles and was putting fuel in it to see if it would start.

Suspicious Person/Activity – A man reported his former roommate had attempted to poison him with tainted mouthwash five months ago, that he sent the mouthwash and $100 to a laboratory in Mexico (but has received no information in return) and that he wants his former roommate, who has since left the country, to answer questions in court.  An officer advised the man that evidence of some sort might strengthen his case.

Suspicious Person/Activity – A drunken man being treated at the Clinic for a facial laceration reported he had been attacked at the door to a friend’s house by a hatchet-wielding white man of indeterminate description.  Various equally intoxicated witnesses provided a variety of colorful and conflicting reports about what may have really happened.
