Assault-Officers responded to a report of a fight at the Unisea Sport’s Bar.  Officers contacted a man who had several facial injuries and was transported to the clinic.  Investigation revealed that Joshua Trueblood had beaten the man’s face against the sidewalk causing several lacerations and a skull fracture.

Disorderly Conduct-Officers responded to the Grand Aleutian Hotel regarding a loud dispute.  Investigation revealed that crewmembers off a vessel had rented several rooms and one drunken crewman had fallen asleep in another crewman’s bed causing the other crewman to become upset.  No one was injured and all parties were warned to stop causing a disturbance.

Liquor Law Violation-Officers assisted the Unisea Sport’s Bar by advising man he was too drunk to enter a licensed premise until he was sober.  The man was stopped a second time from entering the bar and did not was told he would be arrested if he

Assault – Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of an assault.  Officers arrived and spoke with the victim and witnesses and were told that the three suspects had fled into the Grand Aleutian Hotel.  Three men had accosted the victim and assaulted him for no apparent reason, then fled.  Two USCG personnel saw one of the suspects and detained him until Police arrived.  The suspect was identified as Norberto Magana Jaimes, 25 yoa from Washington.  He was arrested and charged with Assault IV.

Suspicious Person – A citizen requested Police assistance in dealing with a man who was trying to lure his son out to go drinking.  An Officer responded but no on was located in the area.

Welfare Check – A 911 hang up call was received from the Unisea bunkhouse area.  Officers responded to the location but were unable to locate anyone in distress.

MVA – Damage – A report of a motor vehicle accident was received.  Officers responded and determined that a cement truck had pulled out from Henry Swanson Drive, crossed into the opposite lane and struck a pickup truck.  No one was injured and the picked received damages in excess of $2000.00.

Fire Response – A report of a vehicle fire was received.  Fire personnel responded and found the fire had been extinguished before arrival.

Summons – Officers served Moqtar Muse Mohamed, 25 yoa of Unalaska, with a summons to appear in court on an original charge of Assault IV.

Subpoena – Officers served a subpoena two local citizens to appear in an Anchorage case.

Protective Custody – Officers received a report of an intoxicated man falling down inside the entryway of a local business.  The man was contacted and determined to be gravely incapacitated by alcohol and posed a danger to himself.  He was taken into protective custody and provided lodging at Public Safety for the night.

Assistance Rendered – A report of a vehicle off the road near the Eagle Quality center was received.  Investigation showed that the vehicle’s owner had loaned it to another man while he was out of town.  The man had lost control on the wet road surface and went off the road.  No one was injured and there was no damage to the vehicle.

Traffic Crime – Officers received a report of an individual parked in the middle of the road on Haystack Drive.  The man was contacted and moved his vehicle.

Welfare Check – An intoxicated man called 911 repeatedly; asked to speak with ‘Mike’ and said he was calling from a local dock.  Officers were unable to locate the man.

Assistance Rendered – A citizen asked for assistance in transporting an individual to the clinic for treatment.

Welfare Check – An intoxicated man called 911 repeatedly and asked to speak with ‘Mike’.  He was asked to call back on the non-emergency line.  The man was then told that if he continued to tie up the emergency line he could be charged with a criminal offense.  Officers later located the man and identified him.

Subpoena – Officers served several subpoenas at the request of the District Attorney to appear at Grand Jury in case 3UN 06 244CR, State v Kenneth Harber.

Traffic Crime – A report of a speeding school bus was received.  The caller reported observing the bus traveling at speeds up to 40 miles an hour.  Officers contacted the bus driver matching the description and issued a verbal warning.

Assistance Rendered – Officers received a request from Latitudes bar management to conduct a walk through of the bar as there were several rowdy people inside.  Officers walked through the bar without incident.

Theft – Taxi driver reported three customers had refused to pay their fare.  The group agreed to pay the fare if the driver took them to the Grand Aleutian.  The driver agreed to this.

Assault – Officers were dispatched to a report of an assault at eh Coastal Dock.  Investigation showed that David A. Gonzales, 24 yoa from Stockton California, had come back to his vessel drunk.  He went to bed and then threw up on a room mate.  The room mates tried to help Gonzales out of bed and he started punching them.  Gonzales was arrested and charged with Assault IV, Domestic Violence related.

Welfare Check – An employer reported that one of their employees had not returned for work.  Officers began searching for the man but were contacted a short time later and advised the employee had returned.

Criminal Mischief – A fishing vessel captain reported that approximately 50 crab pots had been vandalized within the last 3-4 months.  Damage consisted of slashed webbing and was estimated at over $1000.00.

MVA – Damage – Officers investigated a report of a commercial vehicle overturning on Ballyhoo Road.  Investigation showed that a tractor trailer had overturned because an unsecured load had shifted as it negotiated a turn.

Disorderly Conduct – A PCR employee asked for assistance with two men who were behaving aggressively when asked to leave.  Officers responded but the two men were gone.

Disorderly Conduct – Officers were dispatched to Unisea Central in response to a fight in progress.  Officers arrived and saw no one was fighting.

Noise Disturbance – Officers responded to a report of a noise disturbance at the Unisea complex.  Officers arrived and contacted the occupants of the room with Unisea Security.  The occupants were told to keep their noise level down.

Theft – A man reported his wallet was taken from him while he was intoxicated.  The wallet contained his identification, his airline ticket and about $150.00 in cash.

Drunk Disturbance – Officers responded to assist Harbor Crown management with escorting an intoxicated man off the property as he had been fired.  Officers stood by while the man was told he was not welcome on the property.  He left the area without incident.

Welfare Check – A citizen reported an intoxicated man sitting near a dumpster at the Unisea Sports Bar and creating a lot of noise.  Officers contacted the man and asked him to keep his noise down.  The man agreed and said he intended on going to the hotel for the night.

Burglary – Officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary at the Unisea bunkhouse.  Investigation showed that someone had forced a bunkhouse room door open when the occupants were inside asleep.  Damage to the door was estimated at about $100.00.  Investigation continues.

Assistance Rendered – A citizen called and requested assistance with his two drunken sons who were passed out.  Officers contacted the two and determined that one of the sons required medical assessment.  Officers assisted in transporting the man to the clinic for assessment.

Traffic Crime – A complaint of vehicles parking illegally at the Intersea Mall was received.  A citation was issued.

Disorderly Conduct – Officers responded to the Unisea Sports Bar to investigate a report of a fight occurring outside the bar.  One of the participants had fled the area and the other was waiting for Officers.  Officers located the other participant and interviewed both parties.  Investigation showed that an argument developed over a previous incident.  Both were asked to leave the bar and the argument continued outside.  One of the men threatened to ‘shank’ the other and then he fled when police were called.  No one was injured and no weapons were involved.  Neither party wanted to pursue charges.

Protective Custody – A report of a half dressed, disoriented man wandering around the Horizon Lines property was received.  An officer contacted the man and determined that he was intoxicated but not incapacitated by alcohol and provided him transportation back to his residence.

Assault – Officers responded to investigate a report of a disturbance on Loop Road.  Investigation showed that Moqtar M. Mohamed, 25 yoa of Unalaska, had assaulted one of his roommates.  Mohamed was arrested and charged with Assault IV, Domestic Violence Related.

Drug Law Violation – a taxi driver reported a local citizen selling cocaine.  Officers contacted the suspect, who consented to a search.  No drugs were found.

Traffic Crime – A citizen reported a taxi driver had cut them off on Broadway.  Officers located the taxi driver, who was unaware of any wrongdoing.   The driver was advised to follow appropriate rules of the road when driving.

Drug Law Violation – A caller reported Latitudes bar smelled of marijuana.  Officers conducted a walk-through of the bar and contacted several patrons smoking cigars.  No illegal substances were found.

Traffic Crime – a taxi driver complained about vehicles being illegally parked in the Intersea Mall parking lot.  Several vehicles were found in the parking lot; none were cited as there was no request from the lot manager to do so.

Traffic Crime – a taxi driver complained about unattended taxis parked in front of Latitudes.  An officer contacted the errant taxi drivers and advised them it is illegal to leave a running vehicle unattended.

Assistance Rendered – a man requested assistance removing an intoxicated woman from his home.  The woman left before officers arrived.

DUI - an officer observed a man park a pickup and then lay down across the front seat.  The driver was contacted and found to be intoxicated.  Mario Markov, 24 yoa, of Unalaska, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
